It emerged this morning that a third Dallas Stars player has signed abroad. Jamie Benn signed with the Hamburg Freezers playing in Germany for a single year, importantly with a clause that would allow him to return to the NHL should the lockout end. So far only two other Dallas Stars have signed in Europe, Philip Larsen in Finland and Jaromir Jagr in his native Czech Republic.
On their team website the Hamburg Freezers announced that they had signed Jamie Benn. He is expected to play his first game for them on Friday and he will officially announced to have signed at a press conference in Germany tomorrow afternoon (European Time).
There have been rumours surrounding other Dallas players including Loui Eriksson, who has been linked to his former club Frolunda, and Tom Wandell, who has been linked to multiple clubs within Sweden, Finland and the KHL.

02.10.2012 - The Hamburg Freezers have responded to the NHL lockout and is now secured the services of striker Jamie Benn. Already tomorrow, Wednesday the 23-year-old will be presented by 15 clock at a press conference at the O2 World Hamburg. Jamie Benn graduated so far 222 games for the Dallas Stars, in which the links contactors with 70 goals and 90 assists, was able to achieve 160 points. In the last NHL season, the Canadian was first appointed to the NHL All-Star team.

Jamie Benn was on 18 July 1989 in Victoria / British Columbia (Canada)born. During his time with the WHL Kelowna Rockets club with which he was able to win the championship in 2009, the 188 cm tall and 91 kg heavy links Sagittarius was drafted in 2007 round 5 at position 129 ofthe Dallas Stars. In the 2009/2010 season Benn finally celebrated his debut in the National Hockey League (NHL), and then became part of a permanent cadre of stars. In the last season, the striker marked 63 points in 71 games (26 Tore/37 templates), advanced to the second best scorer of his team and was invited to the first NHL All-Star Game. Jamie Benn, who will wear the shirt number 24 in Hamburg gets a contract until the end of the current DEL season, subject to the NHL lockout. The striker will accrue on Friday at home against Mannheim (19.30 clock, o2 World Hamburg) for the Freezers. He will not be the only NHL-attraction: Also on Friday night, the Stanley Cup will be presented at the O2 World Hamburg, with the visitors of the game from 16 clock (season ticket customers from 14 clock) can be photographed in the Blue Room.
