Dear Dallas Stars fans,
It is very disappointing that the NHL has locked out the professional players and all of us hope that the NHL and NHLPA will come to an agreement soon. However, there is still hockey to be watched. We hockey players at the University of North Texas are proud to tell you that we have an extremely talented and competitive team. On October 13th at 7:00 pm you can see for yourself how exciting local college hockey can be when we host the TCU Horned Frogs at Dr. Pepper Stars Center in Farmer's Branch.
This is a very special night, not only because you will get to see representatives from two fine academic institutions square off on the milky ice of Farmer's Branch, but it is also our second annual Pink Out Game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Come to the rink, wear pink, wear green, or (God forbid) wear purple! It will be a lot of fun and it will be very competitive.
Not only do the UNT Eagles and TCU Horned Frogs have ice hockey teams, but the Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, SMU Mustangs, UL Lafayette, and the Oklahoma Sooners all have ice hockey teams, too. Please support your local college teams and help us grow ice hockey here in Texas and in our neighboring states of Oklahoma and Louisiana!
We will see you at the rink!
