I was reading the comments on the Winter Classic by fans and I noticed that quite a few times it was suggested that a good future meeting would be the Stars and Wild playing the Winter Classic in Minnesota.

I always though the Stars being in the Winter Classic would be a very long shot but there is a chance this could happen in the future, albeit a small one. There are many other venues that would happen long before this like Detroit, Chicago and Washington, but it could happen. Next year the Stars and Wild be division rivals which would make this more important.

If Minnesota continues to do well over the next few years and the Stars get back to making the playoffs on a yearly basis, this idea might make more sense down the line. Of course it goes without saying the kind of exposure this would create for the Stars. Let's hear some thoughts on it for the sake of discussing.
