The Dallas Stars trimmed their roster even further today in preparation for the last two preseason games coming up against the Florida Panthers tomorrow and the St. Louis Blues on Saturday. The word from ESPN Dallas (and our own Erin B. who is out in Frisco today tweeting) it sounds like these guys are going down to Cedar Park to join the Texas Stars at camp...
Meaning Philip Larsen stays over Brenden Dillon, who we'll miss. Richard Bachman will continue practicing with the big club and could suit up to back up Lehtonen on Thursday (who is supposed to play the whole game again) or even see some more game action on Saturday.
Sadly this also ends Matt Fraser's stint with the big club, but he represented himself splendidly in Traverse City, PEI and in the NHL preseason games.
Scott Glennie, Travis Morin, Colton Sceviour, Francis Wathier, Ray Sawada, Max Fortunus, Philip Larsen and Tomas Vincour all stay on the roster, presumably, which has been trimmed to 32. No word today on Ryan Garbutt's five minute major for boaridng last night and any other potential discipline.
Stay tuned for tomorrow night's lineup, which will have no choice now but to be pretty heavy on veterans.
