Mike Ribeiro Highlight Video
Hey I started making nhl highlight videos recently and I have made my third one: a Mike Ribeiro highlight video. I decided to make it after I read Worleys post, and this is definitely the best one Ive made yet Check it ou at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNOj7ZyK6JA I appreciate any feedback and am definitely looking to improve my videos so please tell me what you think. Also you can check out my Goligoski video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc3jZhWKZB4&feature=related

Nice work.
And good song.
Good times are here and Stars will take what belongs to them. Sooner or Later.
Good song choices for both those highlight videos
As an editor myself, I have a few suggestions.
1. Make future videos a tad shorter.
Shorter is better in some cases. You don’t want to post videos that seem redundant if they run a specific highlight longer than 40 seconds or so. At most, you’ll want to have a highlight run 10 seconds. That’s just so you keep the viewer’s attention.
2. Make sure the audio levels in each track don’t peak.
I think you’re using Windows Movie Maker based on the title scroll at the end of the Goligoski video. Frankly, that’s not the best program, but if it’s all you’ve got I understand. I don’t know how to change the audio levels using that, and I hope there is a way, because if there’s not, then that program’s completely useless.
Also, make sure your audio tracks aren’t fighting each other. Have one clearly lower than the other.
3. Edit to the music.
You don’t want to make a video that people will watch and say, “Oh well all he did was add background music to it.” You want to find the impact points of the song and sync edits with them accordingly. Here’s one of my YouTube videos that I recently made. Hope that helps explain what I mean.
Anyway, keep making videos man. Hope these suggestions help.
thanks
This really helps. My most recent video I think is a lot better. It’s on a fan post. Anyways I would appreciate feedback on that

Yeah for sure.
And the more videos you make, the better you’ll get at it.
