Nicolas Bergfors, good fit maybe...
So lets look at all the recent signings, and yes I would say that we have moved forward in many ways. I am interested in seeing Sheldon Souray play and have a feeling he will have a very good season. I believe he has been on the Stars radar for a long time. So lets go to the focus of my post. Nicolas Bergfors is a unrestricted free agent. Good fit maybe. He has a lot of good intangibles and upside. He can definitely score goals, and has not yet been with gifted playmakers. Coming from Atlanta first and then New Jersey, well enough should be said right there. Should or could the Stars sign him? He is still very young and good be a good fit for the youth movement we are starting to go with. As sad as I was to see Richey go this does open up a lot of possibilities. Lets just look at a few of the possible line combos with him and then you tell me what you think.....
Line 1- Morrow-Ribs-Ryder
Line 2- Erikkson-Benn-Bergfors
Line 3- Fiddler-Otter-Burish
Line 4- Peterson-Dowell-Waither, Gangon, Morin, Glennie
Really take your pick on the fourth line. A lot of this seems rather enticing to me. Especially that third line. Can you say shut down at all.....

You forgot
Dvorak and Vincour. Bergfors has upside but he’s damaged goods. We’re at the salary floor, that should be all for now
i like bergfors alot
he’s super young and has a huge upside. why not try it and ley vincour stay down a year and use dvorak as a scratch/ rotation with bergs.
GET OFF NIEUWENDYK'S NUTS
Forgot Wandangles for your third/fourth line centers.
Big missing there. I love me some wandangles.
I don't think there's room.
You forgot Dvorak, Wandell.

I'm hoping that Ott will see seconl line minutes next season.
Doesn’t mean It will be that way, but would be good.
Good times are here and Stars will take what belongs to them. Sooner or Later.
I'm thinking he's going to.
Nieuwendyk has hinted as much the past few weeks.

You guys realize
That Ott was in the top six of average ice time last year, right? Even though he was on the third line?
That's cause he started on the ice
taking the faceoff regardless of which “line” was out there, and then just switch off when he could
Preds just sign Bergfors
so it’s a moot point now. Joe will go with this group for now, and trade as he sees fit.
