Well, stunning upset for the US Women's National soccer team. Much congrats to Japan for fighting back when it seemed like it was over.

In other sports news, the Rangers have won eleven in a row, the longest winning streak of the season for any MLB team. To all the Astros, Yankees, and Twins fans here (did I miss anybody else?), HA!

Vanilla muscle milk shakes taste like crap.

Saw Transformers 3 with some friends I won't see for probably another year, so I felt compelled to go. I have to say, it wasn't the huge pile of awful I thought it would be, but it wasn't necessarily a "good movie."

Do NOT post anything about Harry Potter. Some of us haven't seen it yet, so please no spoilers.

What are your favorite shows? What new shows do you think will be successful this fall?

If you liked Scrubs, you need to watch CougarTown.

It’s by the same creator, and it’s hilarious. (It’s also NOT about cougars courting younger men. They did that for about 4 episodes, and then completely switched directions. It’s way better than that now.)

Just to clarify, since I’m obsessed with scrubs (we do a viewing of all the seasons at least once per year at our house)…

The “9th” Season, called Scrubs Med School, is entirely detached from the Scrubs Series. Bill (creator) said it was not part of the scrubs story, but he wanted to try something new. He brought in the old characters to help transition, but it obviously didn’t work at all. It relied too heavily on those characters, and it was tired and played out.

Seasons 1-8 are their own show, and are incredible. Season 9 was never supposed to exist, but ABC would up marketing it that way. It was supposed to be season 1 of Med School instead.

Burn Notice, Castle, Top Gear (BBC), Anything with Gordon Ramsay. Whale Wars…because you want to stop watching but you just can’t look away.

Top Gear is awesome

There’s an American version of it? I don’t believe you.
My family really digs Burn Notice.
Castle sounds like a show I need to watch, solely because Nathan Fillion is awesome.

There is an American version of Top Gear and it's not great. It's okay.

Even weirder, it’s on the History channel.

Burn Notice is fantastic! I’ve always liked Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell is in it too so what more could you want? Great show!

If you like Nathan Fillion and you’re not watching Castle you need to slap yourself in the face as a punishment and start catching up on DVD. So many Firefly references as well which makes it even better and he’s hilarious.

Dr. Horrible was great! Also a must watch.

MY SUSPENSION IS OVER! Heh

I was not being serious at all when I mentioned the American version of Top Gear. It’s bad.
Now, my favorite show is Arrested Development. Firefly is up there in my top shows too, as well as Dexter (DO NOT SPOIL SEASON 5) and Archer.

Oh, and here’s why I got “suspended:”

Sorry I didn't catch the sarcasm. You're right, the american version is bad.

They aren’t funny and they definitely are not cool. But up against Clarkson, the Hammster and Captain Slow, what chance did they really have?

I like Dexter (Don’t spoil SEASON 5 for me either).

It's about games...and thrones.

In a nutshell it’s basically a medieval fantasy about four families who are all vying for control of the kingdom. It’s pretty good.

I got to experience the need for valet parking at the emergency room, btw. I chopped off part of my thumb, and we had to try and find a parking spot. I starting quoting it, and they thought I had lost my mind.

Did you see the premeire of Hell's Kitchen on Monday? HA HA HA

Ramsay totally owned them all in the first five minutes of the show. They’re all excited on stage hearing the fake crowd and then the curtain came up and they all lift their hands in the air in victory and it’s just him standing there, slow clapping and telling them they’re all idiots! PRICELESS!!!

I've never watched Hell's Kitchen

However, I did watch part of the episode that had the USC Marching Band in it (I’m in the band there). It was pretty cool seeing my section leader heckle the chefs lol.

I was in vancouver

watching the game at robson street, then the riots broke out. It was crazy seeing people react that way. I got to be a witness in a couple breaking and enterings and help out the police. They have a tough job and I felt so bad for them, they were just trying to help and people were freaking out. It was a scary night!
