James Neal - History Will Be Made Commercial. They're just handing these out for anything now. A third win of a series in the first round? I don't know if it's history yet, but good for James.

All it really means is

That they had an iso cam on him before he scored for some reason so… commercial. Boom.

Still, the amount of pub he has received since going to Pittsburgh is grossly disproportional to his performance there and even more so when you consider what he DID do here and how much national coverage he DIDN’T get then.

Interesting, how fast “history” is made… but honestly: good for him!

To use Tsudbury's wording

“Shouldn’t Goligoski have scored that?”

Damn did we miss Nicklas Grossman
Bill Oellerman - "Starting on defense number forty... oh for fuck sake Crawford you may as well put Derian Hatcher's corpse there instead, and Bettmann would still give him a major....-four Jeff WOYWITTKAAA"

The funny part was

I heard the call of that game and that call has been dubbed in specifically for that iso of Neal to make the commercial. It was not at all live.

But good on ya Nealer! You’re still my dawg!

First time I saw that I thought, isn't that a little too soon

Especially for a guy who scored the same amount of goals as Niskanen in Pitt. Now I like Neal but can we back off just a little bit and wait until he scores a goal that Roloson doesn’t completely misses on.

You could tell it was an important moment for him...

because so far he’s been a goose egg. Good for him and that was a hell of a wrist shot.

I hate the Penguins with passion, but I was so effing proud of him. Former Stars=love.

Did it warrant a commercial? No. But the NHL handed one of these out after every single playoff game last year. Maybe they’ll cut down this year…

Here's to all us girls who love hockey...and the men who play it.

Glad he scored, but

That commercial is full of weaksauce.

History? Gimme a break.

They need to do one on that Michael Ryder glove save. That was awesome.
