future super center?
Ive read a little bit about Perttu Lindgren over the years and know he's a skilled player. He played up one game with the stars and didn't do much, but played more with the Texas stars and did well in their playoff run to the finals. Then while watching/listening NHL live I saw this at the bottom of the screen.Leading scorer in the league at 23 is impressive can he bring it over here in the north American game and NHL?
I don't have the chance to watch the texas stars so I havn't seen him play much. Anyone that has seen him play have any thoughts about him?
Im just curious and that article sparked my interest in what could be a valuable player for us.

His stats are a lot better than Wandell's when he was in Finland
One hopes his game translates to North America. Looks like he’ll be on the AHL roster next season though.
sadly hes played in the ahl already and scm83x (the guy who runs hundreddegreehockey) says hes easily pushed off the puck a la fabain brunnstrom
hopefully he can learn to take the physical game and give us a good asset.

Forgot about his AHL stint when I posted that
I think it’s pretty common for guys coming from places like SM liiga to not have the physical part of the game yet. I still think he can learn it.

Perttu has been okay so far.
But it’s in Sm-liiga. Leino was also very good in there, so this option is possible.
I have seen Perttu few times this season, but I still feel that he might not return to NHL...
He is not Leino, but if I’m not right… It’s a good thing.
And Rauman Lukko likes him just fine, he won’t go that easy, not even to KHL.
well see what happens. everyone wants to play in the nhl no matter who they ae

Agreed.
But it’s not that easy and NHL is really the hardest league.

He won't
develop into anything better than a second rate center, We could probably use him as a significant trading chip right now, though
