Mark Fistric
Anyone else see a direct correlation in Mark Fistric and his absence in the lineup, and the almost uninspired way we have played a lot lately? Sure, there have been a few times that the team has looked inspired, but most of the time they have looked like they've just been out there letting the minutes pass. I feel like whenever Fistric is out there, he is hitting guys, giving the team energy, and being a major contributor. Thoughts? Let's discuss.

Preach on Brother...
You dont have to sell me…lol. This kid needs to be out there. He brings alot every game and has definetely improved his game over the course of the last couple of years. Give the kid his do…He’s a beast out there. Love his hittin, and like you said…Gives the team energy. ;)
I think this
is the general consensus around DBD. Fistric brings that physical element, and so long as he get himself out of position doing it, it’s good for the whole team. Even when Woywitka is at his best, you have to question why Fistric isn’t in the line up.
I wouldn't say they play 'uninspired'...
But I completely agree; he’s a physical guy that we need. He’s a solid defender and brings more to the table than Woywitka.
agree 100% here
while i think Crawford might be thinking “veterans” for the home stretch there’s also a lack of toughness at the moment as well.
Burish, Grossman just regaining form, Fistric being out might make us just a tad too wimpy.
I wouldn't know for sure if Fistric being out makes the Stars lose emotion.
But I do know that Woywitka being in makes the Stars suck more. Fistric needs to be in, because he is a better player than Woy and Skrastins.

Don't forget about Burish and Barch.....
Burish is an leader and brings energy to the team. I feel Barch is not as aggressive since he’s still in the bubble. If those 2 get back to full strength, added to Fistric playing more, I think we can at least make a respectable finish to the season.
Fistric makes some good high emotion plays and hits.
He also makes plenty of boneheaded reads and plays. He’s not the silver bullet. Though I would like to see him in a game so we can roll with what is working. Not sure I think putting him in against speedy Chicago is playing to his strengths though.
