As expected, Tom Wandell has officially been activated off Injured Reserve by the Dallas Stars today ahead of their crucial Pacific Division clash with the Phoenix Coyotes this evening at the American Airlines Center.

His addition will be a welcome one considering the amount of injuries the Stars forward depth has experienced just in the past week as chronicled by Brad earlier.

Wandell injured his shoulder in a game at Vancouver on January 24th and has missed the Stars last four games. This season, the native of Sodertalje, Sweden has tallied three goals and one assist for four points in 24 games.

More importantly, Wandell had helped anchor the third line with his defensive play. in the four games Wandell missed, the Stars overall GA/60 rose from 2.64 to 2.71.
