the curious case of tom wandell

I've been wondering about this guy for the last two years and I'm still not able to figure out what exactly the problem is. I think he's a talented player with the ability to set his teammates up for good scoring chances, the issue is that he's on a line with guys who don't exactly finish. He has good skating ability and I've seen him make some pretty good moves with the puck and some nice passes but it seems like he has no chemistry with guys on his own line.

It seems as if he just can't seem to get on track and maddening to watch, I've always thought that he could thrive he played on a line with some skill. Let's be honest here, Toby should not be on the PP. Sure he doesn't make alot of mistakes, but I don't see him making many good plays on offense either. And don't get me started on putt ing Burish in the top 6 when injuries hit, he doesn't have much offensive game either. So why not throw Wandell out there and see what happens? So what say you guys, has he just been stuck in crawford's and gully's doghouse? Is he just not as talented as he seems? Or is something else holding him back? Or is it that he hasn't been given proper time in the minors and his development has been hindered? I like the guy but wondering what's wrong is driving me crazy.
