Dallas Stars Afternoon Update: Adam Burish Out, New Ticket Prices Start Tonight
A quick update this afternoon from morning skate, as word came down that Adam Burish will miss one more game and won't play until Wednesday against the Flyers. The hope was that Burish would return tonight against the Ducks, providing some energy and boost for a team that has experienced a bit of a let down at times when coming back from a road trip.
Unfortunately, Burish won't play until Wednesday since he's had just one full skate with the team since his broken hand healed.
"He's pretty much ready, but he's not going to go tonight," Glen Gulutzan said. "He needs a couple more skates with the group. We have a protocol here and he's been off for six weeks. One skate just doesn't cut it."
Philip Larsen and Tomas Vincour are both out as well. Vincour will be out for a few weeks with an MCL straing and Larsen is day-to-day with a quad bruise. It's unfortunate, since both were making legitimate cases for sticking with the NHL team once everyone was healthy. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with those two once they are healthy, which should be close to when Lehtonen returns as well.
What's certainly raises needs some attention is the fact that Andrew Raycroft and Adam Pardy are both being pushed down the depth chart. Mark Fistric is back in tonight, likely to be paired with Alex Goligoski.
In other news, the new ticket prices the Stars introduced as the team was departing on it's road trip go into effect today. $9 tickets go on sale at 10am on game days, and there are a ton of other great deals as well for very good tickets. More information here.

9 dollar seats sold out.
No chance to get them since i was at work.
I've never really felt guilty. I've been FOUND guilty.
While I'm sorry you missed out that's actually kind of great news.
That means the promo is definitely working! It would be nice to see AA full again.

Too bad there are so few sections involved in the $9 deal.
It looks like it is Row O and up, for about 5 or 6 sections. So yeah, it’s great that those areas will be sold out…but I’m hoping that we’ll see more people coming to fill in some of the other parts of the arena as well.

Oh, I agree...I have no problem with $25 tix.
That’s what I’ve got for tonight. :)
But for some people, it’s a bit out of the budget. I’ve been there way too many times.

Do you think there is a deal in the works that involves Pardy and Raycroft as a package
in a trade? Or do you think they will send Vincour and Larsen back to minors when Burish and Lehts come back?
i can't imagine that Pardy and Raycroft will bring you much at all.

How much do we really need?
Bachman is tearing it up and Larsen is a hell of a defenseman… How about a couple 5th round picks?
@AdamBath on Twitter
Two top 6 forwards, depth scoring, and two defensemen. Top and second pairing.
And you aren’t getting close to any of those needs for those two guys.

I've suggested before...
Pardy, Raycroft, and a 7th round pick for a 5th round pick.

Out of context, but still important....
My son Jackson, has been selected to be the Jr Starter for the Columbus game on the 29th. We’ll be traveling in from East Tennessee for the event. His picture is my avatar here. Is this the first DBD associated Jr Starter? Cheer loud for him. He is absolutely psyched about the opportunity.

Wow!! That's awesome.
Give us some more info and we’ll make a post about it for the 29th.

It's a great Stars promotion.
Steve Phillips in the Stars Fan Development department selected Jackson. I can’t begin to tell you how nice this guy has been. To pick an out of market kid who wears Stars sweaters to practice in Knoxville, shows an appreciation of their core fan base. Jackson will be able to dress in the AAC, watch the warm-up from the bench, skate through the Star, and stand with the starters for the anthems.
Additionally, the Hockey Director here in Knoxville is a former junior teammate of Toby Petersen. We hope to be able to have Jackson meet Toby and several of his mates.
As we get more info about our visit with Toby, we’ll pass it along. Thanks for your interest.

That is totally cool!
I will be at that game, and will certainly keep an eye out for Jackson.
Very cool.
My brother has been nominated to be the honored vet, but I haven’t heard anything more about it yet.
