A quick update this afternoon from morning skate, as word came down that Adam Burish will miss one more game and won't play until Wednesday against the Flyers. The hope was that Burish would return tonight against the Ducks, providing some energy and boost for a team that has experienced a bit of a let down at times when coming back from a road trip.
Unfortunately, Burish won't play until Wednesday since he's had just one full skate with the team since his broken hand healed.
"He's pretty much ready, but he's not going to go tonight," Glen Gulutzan said. "He needs a couple more skates with the group. We have a protocol here and he's been off for six weeks. One skate just doesn't cut it."
Philip Larsen and Tomas Vincour are both out as well. Vincour will be out for a few weeks with an MCL straing and Larsen is day-to-day with a quad bruise. It's unfortunate, since both were making legitimate cases for sticking with the NHL team once everyone was healthy. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with those two once they are healthy, which should be close to when Lehtonen returns as well.
What's certainly raises needs some attention is the fact that Andrew Raycroft and Adam Pardy are both being pushed down the depth chart. Mark Fistric is back in tonight, likely to be paired with Alex Goligoski.
In other news, the new ticket prices the Stars introduced as the team was departing on it's road trip go into effect today. $9 tickets go on sale at 10am on game days, and there are a ton of other great deals as well for very good tickets. More information here.
