Video: Dallas Stars Alumni Game Shootout Competition
Here's a video of most of the shootout competition that occured at half time of the Dallas Stars Alumni game last night in Frisco for full season seat holders.
The start of it caught me by surprise, and I think caught Ralph by surprise too. Ed Belfour just hopped off the bench and started the thing on his own volition by the looks of it. He was funny all night.
Krys Barch probably had one of the best goals of the night but I didn't catch it. (Buy season seats to see further Krys Barch shootout goals). Jere Lehtinen scores a beauty here that you can see, as does Joe Nieuwendyk. Much of the rest of it looks like...well, 45 year-olds in a shootout.
Here also is a link to Shannon Byrne's photo gallery of the proceedings last night if you'd like a better up-close look at some of these guys. The lack of shoulder pads in most cases make them look a little funny. Thanks to Shannon as always for sharing with us.

Texas Tornado goalies
And that’s all I can tell you.
Actually the entire Tornado team (young, young guys) were sitting next to me across the aisle having fun at this thing.

Yeah, I don't know.
Think…you’re 19 years old and here comes Mike Modano, Brett Hull and Jere Lehtinen. Wow.

A night you would remember forever
and tell all your grandkids about. By then you probably would be telling them how you stoned every shooter!
I know one
was Jacob Stafford, one of my best friends.
Talked to him about being able to play goalie with all these guys, called it something he’ll remember for the rest of his life. I don’t doubt it one bit.

as if I didn't already ...
want to be a season ticket holder, now I’m really kicking myself.
Is that a visor I see on Ott in those photos?
“Bout time, boy. Now can you work on Jamie?
Yeah, it took me a second.
“There’s something…different about him.”

It was fun to see pictures of Matvichuk and Verbeek.
Good times are here and Stars will take what belongs to them. Sooner or Later.
It was a really fun game!
I loved shooting it. Lighting was poor, glass terribly scratched, but it was great to see all of the familiar faces. The ED-EEE chant was heard often.
Barch had a hat trick
Including the shootout goal, Barch had a hat trick. Will this be his year to break out?
damn newy looked like he could still play lol
he looked smoother then mo did in that shootout
GET OFF NIEUWENDYK'S NUTS
Great job to Bob Bassen for putting this together, but
I would have really liked to see Hitchcock behind the bench, and Shane Churla, Derian Hatcher, Darryl Sydor, Sergei Zubov, and Marty Turco on the ice. I hope they see what a success this was a do it again next year
