How bad is it really being in the Pacific Division?

As the Stars finish up their first west coast road trip of the season, I am seeing the usual slew of posts on Facebook, Twitter and fan blogs complaining about all the late games we have to endure because we're in the Pacific Division. I used to think the same thing, but that was back when we played 8 games a year within the division. Now that we only play 6 divisional games a year, and 4 against the rest of the teams in the Western Conference, it really only adds up to an additional 4 games (or 8 hours) over what we'd have to endure if we were in the Central Division.

The real kick in the nuts for me about being in this division is that it's the toughest division in the conference, and looks to stay that way for the foreseeable future.
