Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Matej Stransky A Prospect To Watch

Ed. Note -- Technical difficulties have erased the update that was originally scheduled, and it was a pretty substantial one. We'll put the stats up anyway!

Since my original post has now disappeared, here's a shortened synopsis of what went down with the prospects the past week:

*Jack Campbell has cooled off a bit, going 0-1-1 in the past week in a tough weekend for the Spitfires.
* Matej Stransky continues to be the highest scoring prospect for the Stars at any level, and now has 12 points in 11 games.
* Reilly Smith and Curtis McKenzie had a tough weekend with Miami, as Smith is now being taken out of the game by opponents with no other threats on the roster.
* Alex Chiasson continues to be solid in Boston, with a goal and an assist in the lone game last week.
* I know we're all focused on Matt Fraser down in Austin, but Travis Morin is the hottest star -- by far.

Stats after the jump.

Jokipakka's goalie is Vesa Toskala

More like ToskLOLa, as he is 1-9 on the year. Ouch…

Does it matter?

He isnt a prospect.

Yes, I know that.

I spent 3 hours on this damn post today, but for some reason the internet ate it when I scheduled it to go up at 7pm.

So, I hurriedly put the table back together using last week’s, including the typo from last week.

My bad.

I can add them if you want.

But I’m close to not including them in rankings either.

Lol, Nico Sacchetti

He’s never gonna do a thing for this franchise.

90% of these guys won't

There's no way to tell.

Of the 10% that do, maybe 1 or 2 become regulars. It’s a crap shoot. The guys I like to do something the most are Brett Ritchie, Alex Chiasson, Reilly Smith, Jamie Oleksiak, Matej Stranksy, Matt Fraser, and Jack Campbell.

Yeah, that's my list as well.

I think Patrik Nemeth should be on there as well, although I know you’re not as high on him as I am.

He’s a bit more of a crap shoot, though.

Any of those guys theoretically could.

Could Nemeth? Sure. Could Sceviour be a 3rd liner? Absolutely. Jokipakka? Why not?

I think I’d add Nemeth to my list. He has the physical tools to be a bottom pairing guy I’d think. Even still, he could easily flame out.

Emil Molin?

Solid stats, penalty machine…but don’t know much about the kid and I can’t find the reference to the asterisk.

Ah, sorry.

The asterisk is that I can’t get an update on his stats for the past two weeks. He’s not on HockeyDB and the J20 website is impossible to navigate to try and find stats.
