Sean Avery Takes Responsibility For Exit In Dallas
In doing so he kinda points out Mike Modano and Marty Turco as the reason he never fit in.
"I didn't adjust to the conditions. I didn't adjust to Texas as a whole, I didn't adjust to the team, and when I say the team, I don't mean the organization, I mean some of the guys in the room.
"I'm responsible 100 percent for that; 100 percent."
"I was hung out to dry a lot by a couple of guys on that team," Avery said. "They are two individuals who aren't playing there anymore."

In a way its kind of nice
That he’s admitted it was mostly his fault, fair play to the lad coming out like that, does actually take some guys to do.
On the Modano and Turco thing, maybe there departure has been a good thing.
But this is Avery, I’d have Modano back any day.

and here I thought guys were a Brit way
of saying ‘balls’ ! :D
pretty interesting to say the least
this guy is all drama but at least he admitted to this. I remember Modano was very vocal about what all happened afterwards to the media. which is ok by me. Avery had done enough here to warrant that.
it all goes back to Brett Hull imo. terrible move for an average player with a reputation.
i can only commend Joe on the other hand for moving this franchise forward and letting Mo and Turco walk. the Mo thing stung for a long time and still does but we all know it was the correct decision.
He's 100% responsible, except for well, you know, those other guys....
Yeah, right. A guy who lasted all of 1/4 of a season versus two guys who had been great teammates according to just about everyone else for 10 and 20 years. Of course, it is their fault he didn’t fit in. And what does the fact that neither of them are playing here anymore have anything to do with what happened two years ago? One has nothing to do with the other. It sounds like Avery getting a dig in – “See, they’re not with the team anymore either.”
Sounds like typical Sean Avery crap…
Dallas Stars, #1 in the Pacific Division!
While I am glad to hear him admit it,
He is entirely correct that it is 100% his fault. And I agree with TracyJean that even in his apology saying it is 100% his fault, he is trying to place some of the blame on others! Typical.
He screwed us all over in only 23 games. How can he even pretend he made any real effort. The guy he screwed over the most though, his good buddy, the one that went out on a limb, gave him MILLIONS more than anybody else and then Sean cost him his job. Avery got EVERYTHING that he wanted and kicked Brett Hull to the curb. Some friend.
You could write a whole 'nother story about how Brett Hull got burned in that deal.
Dallas Stars, #1 in the Pacific Division!
It took a lot of courage
To admit that he was responsible. Except it didn’t, did it? Because he was really the only person in the world who didn’t know for a fact that he was responsible, the only person in the world who hasn’t know the whole time since then. And then he gives a last parting shot to Modano and Turco, who we both still miss dearly. Some fucking apology…
Still a douche
a douche who let Brett Hull down.
One of the last Matt Niskanen supporters in Dallas....
Avery had a chance to be one of the great Dallas Stars of all time
Mike Modano…Joe Nieuwendyk…Sergei Zubov…Brett Hull…Sean Avery
What could have been

not sure you should put Avery's name w/ the rest of that group
Avery never had the talent to be elite like the others did.

Man, I'm joking
Of course he’s not in those guy’s league
Brett Hull – Hall of Famer
Modano and Nieuwnedyk- Future Hall of Famers
Zubov – Possible, if Rod Langway got in, I think Zubov might have a chance
Avery- Most hated player of all time

I still remember Sean in Finland...
He played in Pelicans and shouted at Hifk-players all that bull… And at second asked if he could join them, since Pelicans was a boring team…
He played only few games and left the country saying that Finland is horrible place.
Yeah, it doesn’t matter where he is, he is punk.
