San Jose and Minnesota Talk To Modano

Modano confirmed today that the San Jose Sharks and the Minnesota Wild have called him recently. Modano also said that Minnesota may want to have a face to face meeting soon. In my opinion it is looking more and more like Modano is going to play another season. If he does, I hope he chooses the Wild. I dont think as much of the fan base would be as heartbroken if he ends up there versus the Sharks or Red Wings.

I would like for Modano to go to the wild. Let him finish where he started. I don’t like it but even San Jose is better than Detroit

The Nostalgia Tour would be short-lived.

Maybe I’m grumpy, and I don’t mean to be cruel to the memory of the four seasons Mike had there, but I think that the honeymoon would be short-lived. Last year’s tribute was enough for old time’s sake.

Going to a team that might be headed somewhere would make more sense. I can’t say that I’d be making much of an effort to follow the Wild and keep up with him. It would seem like a waste of time. If there’s a chance, why not try to get with a team and system that gives him at least a snowball’s chance you know where to sniff 600 goals and maybe a Cup over the next couple of years?
