Mike Modano invites his parents to attend last game
Not sure if you saw this on Heika's blog but Mike is a go for this Friday's game and he's inviting his parents to the last game. I'd put up a link but it's all screwed up over at DMN. Still not completely sold that this definitely means Mike is done but it does seem a bit "final," especially given the fact that the game is in Minnesota of all ironic places. Just something to think about until tomorrow's game.

Not a comforting detail
But perhaps he’s thinking that the team may not have the payroll for him even if he wants to come back, and is getting his parents out there just to be certain they see what might be his last game?
well.....
If it was me and I wasn’t sure if I was retiring and I assume his parents live in Minnesota anyways….I would invite them even if I thought there was a 20% chance I would retire.
I believe his parents live in Florida now.
Although, he’s originally from Michigan, so I don’t know if they ever lived in MN.
Proud fan of the #1 college hockey team in the nation - Miami University Redhawks - The Brotherhood. RIP Brendan Burke.
Maybe a sign...
….of Mo’s last hurrah, but Mike Sr. and Karen are down here in Dallas for many games. Wouldn’t bet the farm club that he’s calling it quits if Joe offers him a contract. Take the tour next year, Mike!
Enjoy the ice cream while it's on your plate.
Just read they are NOT attending the game.
They have a non cancellation cruise booked. They actually said they haven’t seen any games in Dallas this year, although I assume they went to the Detroit games if in the area.

I'll be there!
Just bought my tickets on ticketmaster, driving up to St. Paul tomorrow! Look for me in right in the middle of row 3 to the left of Turco in the second! Section is equivelent of section 104 at the AAC! Someone has to go up there and help cheer on Mo and the guys!
My 2 cents
After listening to the last few interviews with GM Joe, it sounds as if Joe will be pushing Mo for retirement. It’s all about the money at this point and you can be sure that Mo wont play for any other team.
