The Announcement: I'm Leaving Defending Big D

PrintIn case you missed the podcast or don't follow us on Twitter, here's the big news I hinted at earlier.
As much as it hurts and as something I never thought I would do, I am leaving Defending Big D. I am going to become the managing editor for the new NBC Sports hockey blog, ProHockeyTalk.com. It's an incredible jump and I still can't believe I've been given this opportunity.
The new site goes live on Monday, so the changes will happen fairly quickly. I'll still be posting over this weekend, but after Monday I will exclusively be working at Pro Hockey Talk.
Brad Gardner will be taking over as the new manager of Defending Big D, and I'm certain he'll do an even better job of leading this great community to becoming even bigger than we are now.
There is so much I want to say, but I want to take some time to gather my thoughts. I'll have a much more detailed farewell post up on Monday, but I wanted to make the formal announcement as soon as possible. You can hear my initial announcement, that became a bit emotional actually, on tonight's podcast.
I'm going to miss this place...
