PrintAvid Stars fan and Defending Big D community member @HappyGirl1029 pledged to the hockey community she would get a tattoo if the Stars, who couldn't win three in a row last year, won five in a row this year. They have completed their end of this little deal, and thanks to the awesomeness of Twitter and progressive thinking and web savvy of the Dallas Stars, Adam Burish and Steve Ott were apprised of the situation and weigh in...
This is the perfect marriage of passionate fans, charismatic players, a forward thinking NHL franchise, and most importantly, the awesomeness of the internet, as well as whoever runs the Dallas Stars Twitter account (I'll find out tomorrow.) Well done.

I have been thinking about another tattoo also and one with the Stars… But I have trouble with the “logo”… Don’t want just a star and I would love to include North Stars “N” in there, but it should be smaller than logo of the Stars…

the Stars PR/Marketing department has gotten a lot of flack for the lack of attendance and in-game experience, but they really do care. This video proves that they do care and they are listening. They just don’t have any money. So blast Hicks all you want for that but not the Stars, their pr or marketing folks. They’re doing the best they can.

It’s very obvious the people involved really care. They just have no money at all, and its frustrating.

You tell ’em Happy Girl. I have written and said that ad nauseum lately. How about giving those of us that are always there a little credit. The others will return and it is sad that they left but I really believe the noise level has been greater in the last month than it was with a full arena. The DALLAS STARS DALLAS STARS chant starts and goes and goes and goes. We LOVE the Stars and I hope they all know we do. We are there and we are supporting!!!!

And oh so many more. This team and it’s marketing never cease to impress and entertain!

I woulda gone without the flames, the Stars logo is pretty intimidating as is. The Star’s Texas logo with the D would make a pretty bangin tatto as well.

When we started talking about this on Twitter yesterday, I knew TxStarGirl was up to something but I had no idea that the Stars themselves had responded. THIS IS SO COOL! Have been a big Ott fan for a while – this just reinforces that. Am curious to ask – does anyone have any pics of Ott’s ink? I saw in the pre-game intro video they show him at a tattoo studio but can’t find any images online. Also, does Burish have ink too? Any images?

I'm really starting to like Adam Burish
he, along with Steve Ott, are among some of the greater personalities this team has seen in a while. Very enjoyable to watch.

I know some of you said no numbers but Burish and Ott were so awesome to do the video so I had to do it. Plus while I was getting numbers, I threw in #25 too.
