The Dallas Stars have recalled center Aaron Gagnon from the Texas Stars.

The very impressive pre-season of Aaron Gagnon has not fully carried over to regular season success. The Texas Stars best player a season ago has only tallied nine points in 20 games in Cedar Park this year but he's the first forward the Dallas Stars think of when they need another body.

He was called up in October with Jamie Benn ailing from a concussion, and played one game with the Stars, going scoreless in that debacle against the Lightning. With Toby Petersen (hand) and Krys Barch (foot) both ailing, Gagnon could possibly get a chance on Saturday night against the Minnesota Wild. It would be his 4th career NHL game.

Here is the release...

DALLAS STARS RECALL CENTER AARON GAGNON FROM TEXAS STARS

FRISCO, Tex. -- The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has recalled center Aaron Gagnon from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Gagnon, 24, has appeared in 20 games for Texas so far this season, scoring five goals and four assists for nine points with six penalty minutes. He was recalled by Dallas on Oct. 17 and appeared in one game at Tampa Bay the next evening before being assigned back to Texas.

Gagnon signed as a free agent with Dallas on February 2, 2007.
