Predators @ Dallas Stars is Hockey Fights Cancer Night
It was a pretty quiet morning skate today at the AAC. Brad Richards was not on the ice today and left practice early yesterday in Frisco, but Marc Crawford said it's a normal thing for him and that he likes to give Brad the option. Brenden Morrow's morning skate didn't last long either. Given the comments we've heard from Razor about the "usefulness" of morning skate over the years, it's not surprising.
So Richards is fine and the lineup will be the same as Thursday. "We're going to go with the same group as from last game," said coach. "I want to reward the good effort that we had."
The players will be sporting pink to some extent tonight as it's Hockey Fights Cancer night. Pictured here is the pink tape all ready to go.
The Texas Rangers were the talk of the locker room this morning as the picture of Mark Fistric in his Ranger gear got passed around a little on someone's cell phone and some of us (media) present were obviously excited about it. Mike Heika asked Crawford about anything the Stars can take from the Rangers example...
"The Rangers have been a good story and we can take a little from them because we see a lot similarities in that they're a young developing team," said Crawford. "They've really come together as a team and we want to take that [to the stars]. I think those attributes are definitely attainable for our group."
Puck drops at 7:00pm tonight on TXA-21.

Wish I could go tonight..
my best friend is battling Ovarian Cancer and it would have been an awesome to go tonight but I have to work tonight and she had a party to go so oh wells, we’ll be there in spirit! I get to go to 2 games next week so I can’t complain too much ; ) GO STARS!!!
So does this mean that the guys will be sporting pink jersies during warm-up? The Blue Jackets wore purple jersies last week for their HFC night.
Here's to all us girls who love hockey...and the men who play it.

So did Fistric have anything to say about what it was like to be at the game last night?

Mark Stepneski assures me that Fistric isn't in the dog house, Crow just wanting to keep group together from last game.
What kind of vibe did you get from Crow on it?

Same
Nothing wrong with Fistric. He just wants to ride the group that played so well on Thursday.
