Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Just as I expected. Not a whole lot here, really. Just the tea opening up negotiations with Ott and it doesn't look like they're close to any sort of deal at the moment.

Heika says here that the sticking point in all this is that Steve Ott has yet to clearly define the type of player he truly is, which will determine how much money he demands.

Bum-mer.

That was my one little ray of sunshine that I was clinging to, that they were actual getting him resigned.

have to!!

You can’t let Ott go, he is the guy you would rather pay him than let him go to another team. Ott does need to decide if he is a tough guy or a grity scorer, both of which he is capable of. I say give him a three year or five year deal with an in between pay range of a fighter and scorer, maybe 1.2 or 1.5,, then give him incentives if he scores 20 or 30 goals or 50 points?? can’t let him go
