Dallas Stars 2009-2010 Regular Season Schedule
The Dallas Stars and the NHL have announced the full schedule for the upcoming 2009-2010 season, starting with a home game against the Nashville Predators on Saturday, October 3rd at 7:30pm CDT. From the Dallas Stars press release:
The Stars are scheduled to play 82 games during the 2009-10 campaign, with 41 contests at home and 41 on the road. The home schedule features 19 weekend contests (seven Friday, nine Saturday, three Sunday). The Stars will host six Saturday matinees: Dec. 5 vs. Edmonton (1 p.m.), Dec. 19 vs. Detroit (2 p.m.), Jan. 2 vs. Vancouver (1 p.m.), Jan. 16 vs. Detroit (1 p.m.), Feb. 6 vs. Phoenix (5 p.m.) and Mar. 20 vs. Ottawa (1 p.m.). The Stars will also host a Sunday afternoon game on Jan. 31 vs. Phoenix (5 p.m.).
The Stars will play a total of 40 games against non-division Western Conference foes in the Central Division and the Northwest Division with four games against each opponent (twice at home, twice away).
Dallas will play a total of 18 games against Eastern Conference opponents, skating against all 15 Eastern teams once and facing off against three Eastern clubs both home and away.
Some quick facts about this season's schedule:
Longest homestand: Six games (March 12 - March 21)
Longest road trip: Five games (December 8 - December 17; this trip is three games on the West coast, two games on the East coast)
Busiest month: March is going to be brutal, but at most of the games are at home. 16 games (7 away) in 29 days with never more than one day off between games.
Craziest trip: After a few run throughs, it didn't appear the Stars will have be traveling more than they already do. There is one tough trip: Two games on the East coast back to back, then home for a game then back to the East coast for three more games, all within nine days. (Jan. 5 - Jan. 14).

By my count...
13 back to backs
Longest home stand: 6 games (March)
Longest road trip: 5 games (December)
12 of 21 at home after Olympics to finish the season.
Home back to back with OTT/PHX. Interesting…

Make that 12 b2b's.
Jeez…this March schedule is going to be fun for us, but not for them. Every other day the entire month with a b2b. Hope they’re healthy coming off the Olympic break.

Did they take that September 24th game off the preseason schedule?

Nah.
It’s still there, just a typo on here.

That's.....odd.
I cut and paste right from the PDF file I got. Didn’t do much else. Wonder how that happened.
Sorry for the confusion.

I'm actually working on finding that out right now.
They haven’t even released what their jerseys will look like.
