Said that he believes that he fired primarily because Nieuwendyk wanted change.

Said that he believed the coaching staff did the best they could this past season...
Said they were faced with some very tough adversity and the team responded pretty well until the Richards and Petersen injury. With those out, and Daley and Robidas hurt as well…..the team just ran out of steam.

He basically refused to air any dirty laundry....
He believes the locker room is a sacred place and won’t throw anyone under the bus. He thinks Morrow and Turco are some of the hardest working players in the NHL.

On what he believes the Stars need:
For personnel: There’s a real good core of players already in place, and Morrow’s return will really boost the team. Need depth on defense and a backup goaltender. Basically, they need to get healthy as well and he believes the Stars will bounce right back next season.

Said he really wants to coach again, but he's not in a rush at the moment.
But he’s fluid to moving to wherever, especially since all of his kids have moved out.

Really enjoyed his time in Dallas, and really like the community and the people of the region.
His daughter goes to SMU and he’s grateful for the hospitality the city showed him and his family.

Tippett will be missed
Definitely will be missed. I thought he was a classy guy and a good coach. We are considering not reupping our season tickets because we are not fond of Crawford. His record and attitude just aren’t what we think the Stars should be.
