Stanley Cup Playoffs Update

Don't expect too much for me right now. I'll have an indepth update tomorrow morning.

For now, I'll just leave you with these nuggets:

  • I expected the Blackhawks to come out breathing fire, considering the slow starts they had in Games 1 and 2 in Vancouver. Needless to say, I was very disappointed to see the trend of slow starts continue tonight.

You can dig yourself out of a hole only so many times.
  • I dislike the Wings as much as anyone.

But they got jobbed tonight because of yet another quick whistle. Back in the old days, the refs were supposed to wait at least three seconds before blowing the play dead. Might I suggest a return to that practice?

Anyway, I'm sure Red Wing blogs will be chock full of conspiracy theories about how Gary Bettman hates them. Which makes absolutely no sense because the Red Wings are to the NHL what the Yankees and Red Sox are to baseball. Which means the deeper Detroit goes, the higher the ratings that Versus and NBC get. And since NBC and the NHL split the ad revenue...

Well, I think even The Chief can see where I'm going with this. You got screwed and everybody knows it.

But might I suggest to the Wings that they not be afraid to wait two periods to score a goal?

Anyway, I will agree with Red Wing fans in affirming once again, just how much of a bitch Chris Pronger is. Nice job going after Datsyuk, punkass.
