[UPDATE] Sweden wins 4-2, getting an empty-netter with 2 seconds remaining. Loui Eriksson had a goal and an assist. Tough game for the Americans, who were frustrated by several questionable penalties.
Matt Niskanen (USA), Loui Eriksson and Nicklas Grossman (SWE) face off against one another in the bronze medal game of the World Championships. Eriksson had Sweden's lone goal in their 3-1 loss to Canada on Friday.

Teams taking the ice.
Not surprisingly, the crowd is heavy on the Sweden and lite on the USA.
Still disappointed from the game against Russia, however. That was a tough game to watch.

Tight game so far.
Lots of action in the US zone, but not many quality chances.

4 on 4 action now.
Jack Johnson and Linus Omark tried to decapitate each other and got matching minors. The USA has several chances with the extra ice and draws another penalty on a breakaway. Now it’s the dangerous 4 on 3.

Lots of penalties, lots of PP and 4 on 4 action.
So far there’s been 7 minors called in the first period. Neither team can score, however.

Matt Niskanen takes a penalty.
His transgression: Being too close to a Swede who falls.

Ugh.
Sweden scores on a 5 on 3 to go up 2-1. A couple of really bad penalty calls puts the US down 2 men and Sweden takes advantage.

That was Loui Eriksson with the goal, supposedly.
It looked to me like he was in the vicinity of the net when it went in.

Less than 5 mins to go now.
Sweden really cracking down defensively. USA not getting a lot of looks at this point.
