And please, appreciate us with a win tonight, fellas. The Stars sit at 34-34-10, and although the playoffs won't happen it would be nice to at least finish with a record above .500.
Tonight is the final home game of the 2008-2009 season. The Stars have won just 19 games this season at American Airlines Center and the last time Dallas won less than 20 games at home was the 1995-1996 season when Bob Gainey stepped down in favor Ken Hitchcock.
Matt Climie will make his NHL debut in place of the injured Marty Turco and doghoused Tobias Stephan. Unfortunately for him, he'll have to go up against David Backes, who's coming off a four goal performance in Detroit to keep the Blues in the thick of an unlikely late season playoff run.
He also apparently doesn't like it when you try to steal the spotlight from him.
If you desire, St. Louis Game Time provides you with tonight's enemy POV.
[Note by Brandon] Got caught up at work today unexpectedly, so I apologize for the lack of the traditional game preview. I also want to make sure everyone reads Gravypan's excellent breakdown of Tom Hicks and his different styles of ownership between his three sports franchises.
