Calgary Flames @ Dallas Stars gameday open thread
Calgary Flames at Dallas Stars, Apr 2, 2009 7:30 PM CDT
I've reached the point where I'm really looking forward to getting a long look at the younger guys. Tonight will be a tough test for the Stars, but I'm also thinking the confidence built over the past few games will go a long way.

Formally checkin in tonight...
What are your guys’ thought on Marty playing again? Are the delusional in thinking they still can make the playoffs (although it is mathematically possible.)

Jarome Iginla with a nice wrist shot from the slot.
Shot goes off the pipe, off Marty’s skate and in. Perfect shot.

Loui really misses B-Rad. No one else seems to be able to get the passes to him, and when he does get the puck, he looks so shocked he isn;t able to do anything with it
Agree. They really had a nice thing going.

Ott close to getting a goalie interference call.

They've shown the same jump they've had in the first the past few weeks.
The trick is to sustain that energy through the game.

I think the defensman was amazed that Neal passed the puck.

Stars with some trouble getting the puck through on the PP...
That’s surprising.

I think he was more trying to avoid the hit.

Overall not a bad period for the Stars. They've kept the energy up and haven't made many mistakes.

Turco had no chance on that one.
Tipped twice on the way in and he was screened. Crap.

Can’t get the puck out of the zone, but Brunnstrom comes back to take control of the puck in open ice.

Well, not a horrible period.
But the Stars are down by a goal going into the third.

I missed a lot while trying to make dinner. They must have missed my presence ’cause they are down one now.
It wasn't bad, but they couldn't get a sustain pressure.

They give up a goal and I popped a cheese-heavy pizza in the oven. They can’t sustain pressure, and I can’t sustain good nutrition. =P
Mmm...now that sounds good.
