Does it make anyone else feel old as hell...
That the Stars top prospect was born in 1989? Jamie Benn was born after the Minnesota North Stars drafted Mike Modano. Chew on that for a bit….

Too bad the AHL home crowds don't get into the games
As much as the junior league crowds do in Canada. Hartford can have some good crowds, but overall I’m disappointed most of the time by the lackluster crowds.
By the way, the Kelowna crowd here shouts “rockets” whenever it comes up in the American National Anthem.

Fairly physical game so far.
The Americans (Tri-City) have controlled play so far, although the Rockets have had several open ice chances in front.

Can't find a box score that lists hits in the WHL.
But Benn is a very physical player, already in the 1st I’ve counted two big hits he’s laid out.

Jamie Been scores a nifty breakaway goal to put the Rockets ahead 2-1
Grabs the puck off the left boards and speeds around the defensemen to get free in front. Goes quickly across the crease and slips the puck between the goalie’s pads off his backhand.

With that goal, Benn has now registered at least one point in ten straight playoff games.

Tri-City was the better team coming into the playoffs....
But they’re now dealing with several injuries and are struggling to put a complete team on the ice (comparatively).
