My play has been spotty at best, especially with the way I can play and have played at points in this season, especially when your team needs you most and you're the guy that can make the biggest difference. It's a terrible feeling for myself, but it's something I can handle and, more importantly, there's something I can do about it, and that's going to start tomorrow.

It's gonna start tomorrow?

Are you kidding me? He’s the one who owes his teammates for his piss poor play this entire season. Now all of a sudden with nine games left you’re going to magically play better? Where was this last night? Heck where has it been almost the entire season? Don’t do us the fans any favors Marty. Empty victories in now meaningless games doesn’t help anyone.

I can’t wait till he’s in uniform for some other poor team. They can watch him ole so Kesler has an open net.

Breathe man.

If anything, this is the Hockey Gods retribution for that 1st round exit a few years ago where Turco had 3 shutouts and still lost in the first round cause his teammates couldn’t score more than 1 goal a game.

At this point it's not about wins or losses

It’s about quality of play. Dallas can’t score because of injuries. Losing games 3-2 doesn’t bother me. What does bother me is Turco saying I’ll be better. As though it matters now or that his play for the most part this entire season is okay. It’s not. Did he not realize his team needed him Tuesday against Vancouver? Now all of a sudden he’ll play better?

If you’ll excuse the crude analogy he’s pissing down our backs and calling it rain. Color me not impressed and this off season when his NTC expires due to the team’s final standings, he’ll hopefully be traded. He can go be 38th in the league with an .896 save percentage and an impressive 2.85 GAA average for some other team that foolishly believes he’ll magically be better next season.

Meh. I'm only open to trading Marty if we have a better option available

I think he’ll be better next year, and the injury situation has to improve.

It was mentioned earlier that his contract will be friendly next year, so it’s not like I’m opposed to it, but only if it makes us better. I don’t think Stephan makes us better. Partly due to how the Stars handled him this season.

I don’t want to jump on the Turco hate bandwagon because I’m new to the team and don’t have a history of Turco. Has he had bad years and rebounded? Is this year a freak thing? I don’t know any of this.

What I will say is his attitude has been piss poor. He pretty much started the season blaming the defense, blaming the Avery distraction, blaming everything. I always thought that was pretty crappy but no one was really calling him out so I figured that maybe I was too sensitive. But then I read a quote from the Sharks’ Nabokov. When asked about the defensive lapses in front of him, his response? “That’s what I’m there for.”

He didn’t take his young D to task, he either stopped the puck or at least thought he should have if he didn’t. And he’s right. Sure D are incredibly important, and they help make the job a bit easier, but the puck stops with him.
