Where is Jonas Hiller? You would think he had the starter job locked up after he killed the Sharks last year.

we had so many long term key injuries when these kids came in as rookies. I even think Benn’s suffering from that lack of developing just a bit, even considering as good as he’s been.

In Canada we have a channel called Teletoon Retro… they always show all the old cartoons like GI Joe and Transformers and Bugs Bunny… Scooby Doo.. Spider Man… Superfriends…
My nephews are starting to understand the greatness of said cartoons..

Dumb semi-new hockey fan question here: How exactly DOES the NHL schedule divisional games?
(referring to intermission report poll question that went right over my head)
24 Intradivisional games
6 games each against Anaheim, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Jose
3 home and 3 away.

And the reason for the question...
…is because for the first 3 years after the lockout, they played 32 Divisional games (8 games against each other with 4 home games and 4 away).
The downside is they only played games against 2 of the 3 Eastern Conference divisions. With less games within the division, they can at least face every Eastern Division team at least once.

Should you be surprised though? This is the same league that wouldn’t allow the Bears and Blackhawks to engage in cross promotion because the Bears logo would be used to help sell Blackhawks hockey.

They had to close our manufacturer in Calgary on Friday because of the weather.
I talked to one of my guys today and asked how bad is it if they have to close in Calgary?

Yeah Calgary got it much worse than Edmonton.. They had a foot of snow in some parts of the city and with the winds they had, some of that snow piled up as high as cars along the street.

I'd argue Turco's point
But just like how Nebraska did themselves in by basically giving Texas 55 yards of field position because of penalties, I think the Stars lack of defending on that play outweighs any point in arguing.

My jaw hit the floor
When I saw those QB draws that did nothing but push the ball from the 26 to the 29. Then when I saw the roll out, the pass, and looked up and there were double 00’s?
I know Colt would have taken the blame on that play, but that was all Greg Davis.
I fear for you guys that if Alabama starts dominating on defense, Davis won’t have a plan B.
Kind of like how Kevin Wilson never has a plan B at OU in big games.

I'll say this much
Texas is going to have to be able to run the ball and convert some third downs to get Colt into a rhythm. OU and Nebraska’s defenses had success against them because they blanketed Jordan Shipley, who is Colt’s roommate in case you weren’t aware. :o)
Tre’ Newton might turn into a nice back like he was at Southlake. Fozzy Whitaker might too, some day. But those two are going to have to step it up against Alabama.

cause alabama has yet to scare me with the pass. this is one year where there truly hasn’t been one dominant team. i don’t even need to make the statement that should follow.

dont think it should be a goal if put in by goalies momentum. He made the save. Kinda like it doesnt count if you kick it in. I mean…actually where was the puck? You cant see it. Replay will not be able to show it went over the line. So….just assuming…LOL

I like the rule myself.. it’s not like the NHL has a ton of goals per game, no reason to limit ways to get goals on the scoreboard even if it is against the Stars once in a while.
