Ok so...
I’m feeling better. Hopefully the Stars don’t come out flat and tired.

I'm a little worried about the goalie choice tonight.
I think Alex does a fine job but Turco was AMAZING last night and handled the puck a TON. Big shift in style for back to back games. I hope the guys can remember to come back to play the puck!
Glad to hear you are feeling better, Brandon.

Yeah...this should be interesting.
If read my preview for the game, I definitely am not a fan of this move tonight. Especially with the team having for days off.

Lol that's awesome actually
It’s nice to know my theory wasn’t too far out of left field.

Ok, I read your preview and ...
yeah, that’s pretty much what I was thinking. Turco handled the puck so much last night and did it very well. It’s got to be hard for the team to shift mindsets.
I haven’t read the game thread from last night yet either so this my be redundent as well, but I loved it when Turco stopped to play the puck on his way to the bench.
Supporting your local ice troll, 24/7/365
That was classic.
He should have skated it all the way to the red line.

Auld
I like him and all, but why is he getting the start?
probably
cause turco played last night and had a lot of work. 30+ shots will wear a guy out
blackgoldandgreen.blogspot.com
Crawford is intent on maintaining his 'plan'...
We’re rarely going to see Turco play back to back, unless Auld is hurt.

Hopefully, false alarm.

Supporting your local ice troll, 24/7/365
This team looks especially slow
probably a combination of back-to-back, on the road, and no James Neal. Neal might’ve injected some energy into this game.
Not sure it's exactly slowness...
Moreso lack of execution. They aren’t making good passes and are losing puck battles. That slows the game down pretty quickly.

Um. What were the defensemen doing then?
That was not Auld’s fault.

pull auld
he’s playing his ass off, but the d sucks in front of him
oh, and we need to pull some cash and buy them all some books “faceoffs for dumbasses”
Why is it that whenever Auld is in net the defense goes stupid?
Defending Big D: A Dallas Stars blog on SBN: easy to use, free to join.
Yep.
Although I understand the need to rest Turco (we learned that lesson last season), this team was rolling and had some great chemistry building.
Putting Auld in kinda threw that all up in the air.

That has nothing to do with having a different style goalie in net.
That was just plain old poor coverage.
Supporting your local ice troll, 24/7/365
True...
But it’s a disturbing trend.

Sorry, I typed that before your post.
Chemistry is definitely an issue and keeping them on a roll but that was some bad play.
Supporting your local ice troll, 24/7/365
As soon as that scramble started to happen...
A defensemen, hell even a forward..needed to just fly in there and knock them off the puck.
Defending Big D: A Dallas Stars blog on SBN: easy to use, free to join.
Or cover the other side of the net?
I love Skrastins but he seemed to just stand there and watch the puck go in.

Could be worse...
Carolina goaltender Cam Ward was helped off the ice in the first period.. blah blah.. As he was being helped off, drops of blood hit the ice… blah.. It appeared Nash might have nicked Ward in the groin area with a skate.
OUCH!
Just wrote up that story for SBNation.com

And at about the same exact moment, Cal RB Jahvid Best (top running back in college) leaped high into the end zone, had his feet knocked out and came down straight on his head and neck. Taken off on a stretcher. That play looked horrible.
