Checking in from DBD headquarters....

Wrapped up in bed, just had some homemade soup and Tamiflu. Let’s see if I can make it through the game awake.

hope you're feeling better soon

I must have this thing for hockey boys from Whitby with the initials JN.

Great start.

Not…… I can’t imagine what would have happened had they scored right there. I probably would have gone to bed.

And pressure!!!

Good effort by Ribs and Morrow....

I’m tired of playing goalies having great games. Can we play Huet again?

Come on Stars don’t give the young goalie too much confidence early.. make him pay

Turco looking sharp again.

I can get used to saying that every night.

Wandell HAS to play harder on the boards...

He had a chance to play the puck, watched it go around. Brunnstrom lost the battle on the far side and BAM!! Scoring chance for Vancouver.

How did that not go in? Grossman with the “where is it?” block just outside the crease.

by KStars on Nov 6, 2009 9:01 PM CST reply actions

I think they need to sacrifice a chicken or something.

by schtimpy27 on Nov 6, 2009 9:03 PM CST up reply actions

It looked Ribs had about 4,331 moves going through his mind...

And couldn’t decide which one to use.

I think he just kind of fumbled it.

by Brad Gardner on Nov 6, 2009 9:17 PM CST up reply actions

Ok, the nephew called. He’s finally home. I’ve got to go be social. Maybe B-Rad will score again since I’ll be gone…

by schtimpy27 on Nov 6, 2009 9:04 PM CST reply actions

So glad we have Richards, he is the Stars catalyst. Really showing his worth this year with the young guys and just how smart and talented he is. He makes plays happen.

by KStars on Nov 6, 2009 9:09 PM CST reply actions

Renner was born 30 yrs to late.

You can easily imagine him in a pale blue double knit three piece suit with a sateen multi colored open neck shirt and a heavy gold chain. A cheesy mustache, and using a lame come on line at a discotech.

You know...

Willie Mitchel didn’t play like a dick when he was here

by Brad Gardner on Nov 6, 2009 9:27 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Burrows is a twerp.

I won’t forget when he whacked at the back of Morrows knee a few years ago.

There goes the shutout.

Like there really could have been one.

by Brad Gardner on Nov 6, 2009 9:46 PM CST via mobile reply actions

At the stroke of 10pm it ends.

The TiVo gods are smiling.

Good win. A lot harder than it needed to be thanks to yet another shmuck no name goalie, but a nice one all the same

because I freaking hate the Canucks.

by Brad Gardner on Nov 6, 2009 10:02 PM CST via mobile reply actions

My heart went "a flutter"

When Marty grabbed that puck and stared down that empty net. I thought that was finally going to be it for just a second. He’s wanted that for a long time, or maybe we’ve just wanted it for him. Too bad it was blocked. He had time and space.

by Brad Gardner on Nov 6, 2009 10:07 PM CST reply actions

Nephew had a good birthday. Now he’s off with friends. And I come home and get a present: Stars win. w00t!

Great win Stars.

Now comes the dreaded drive back on 75. Ugh, my loathing for 75 knows no bounds.

Is 75 bad this time of night?

I didn’t go tonight, but my customary drive back up 35E is usually a breeze.

by Brad Gardner on Nov 6, 2009 10:27 PM CST up reply actions

Honestly it’s not bad because I’m already back in Richardson. But there’s always traffic to the AAC, and a plethora of crazy, probably intoxicated drivers on the way out.
