Dallas Stars news and notes

Good win last night against the Thrashers in a game that was fairly boring and not very intense. Marty Turco was solid, Kari Lehtonen was brilliant and the Stars will move on face the Detroit Red Wings tomorrow night.

Fabian Brunnstrom says he's ok with playing a few games in the minors as he attempts to come back from a high ankle sprain.

"I haven’t played for a month, so it’ll be nice to get the game and the tempo going," Brunnstrom said. "I’m feeling better, more comfortable all the time [about my game], and before my injury I was moving in the right direction. I just want to play, so this will be good for me."

Mark Stepneski breaks down the line of Ott, Ribeiro and Lehtinenand how their play has been the key to the Stars' success as of late.

Steve Ott on his line's growing chemistry:

"I think we can feel the chemistry building and feel the confidence, and we're better because of it," Ott said. "You hope that's something that just keeps improving, because we need more in the second half. We need more from everybody."

Zetterberg will be sitting this game out as a precaution.

Datsyuk and Lidstrom should be good to go.

ah well

You’d love to have the other two out, but I ‘m happy that at least one of those guys is out. What’s interesting is going to be how good Datsuyk is without Zerretberg.
