A plane departing La Guardia airport in New York reported hitting a flock of birds shortly after takeoff. The pilot tried to turn the plane back to the airport but had lost engine power. The plane reportedly hit the water level and at a relatively slow speed and supposedly this has allowed people on board to safely be rescued from the crashed plane. Early reports are that their are no fatalities.
An absolute miracle at the very least and the pilot of the airplane should be commended as a hero.
